Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

Dead Man's Chest is the second sequel of the Pirates of the Caribbean series and as before, stars Johnny Depp, in the role of Captain Jack Sparrow, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley. It is always difficult to follow up the success of the first sequel The Curse of the Black Pearl, and director Gore Verbinski had to put in a lot of effort to make the second sequel as good as the first one.

On the plus side the movie is visually stunning. The computer-generated images are very good and one will not spend the whole movie complaining about how fake everything looks. There are plenty of action sequences to keep you on your seat's adge the whole time.

On the other hand, the plot, which involves a search for a compass, a treasure chest and the key that will open it, is too complicated. Despite the action, one will find it hard to stay in the seat for over two and a half hours.

All in all it is fun, but this adventure movie is not nearly as good as the first.

Canada - A Glance into the Future

What can one say about Canada? It is a rich country with blooming economy, plenty of job opportunities and a great future, or is it?
Canada "floats" on oil and natural gas. It is the sixth largest oil producing country in the world. In 2008 it produced an average of 438,000 cubic metres per day. But that can be deceiving because there are already engines that do not have to use oil or gasoline.
This country is also a major producer of zinc and uranium, and is a leading exporter of many other minerals, such as gold, nickel, aluminium, and lead. These mineral resources will not be here forever because they are expendable, and maybe in the near future demand for these products will not be as high as now.
The United States is Canada's largest trading partner, which means that Canadian economy depends on trading with U.S. If something negative happens the U.S. economy, this could affect Canada's export adversely.
All this suggests that Canada can experience some difficulties in the future in terms of a decrease in its economic power. But that is not likely for now because this country has a lot of opportunities to be even better ranked than ninth in the world economy.

Canada, the Land of Opportunity

There is no comparison between the country in which I lived and Canada, at least in terms of economic situation. I have been Canada for only four months, but in that short period of time I have been very blessed. First, I was offered a job, and now I have bought a home for my family and me. There are so many places to visit in every province. People are nice, easy to talk to, and always there to help everyone in need. So when I talk about Canada, describing it to my friends, I have only nice things to say. I recommend everyone to come for a visit and see for themselves. Maybe they will see, just like I saw, all the great things that make me stay in this beautiful country called Canada.

Pursuit for a Better Life

Hello everybody. I'm Boris Paljinkas, a traffic engineer from Serbia. I finished college in 2008 and started working, but just for a few months because of the economic situation in Serbia. Finally, I decided to leave and I came to Canada this spring, with my wife and two children. We came in April and immediately started to work. My family and I are very satisfied here, so far, and I think that we made a good decision.
